‘Eigenzeit’, roughly translated as proper time, was conceived as a faux archaeological site located in the Vault, Spring 2005. Visitors were given flashlights or lanterns, and entering into an otherwise unlit space, discovered the images on the walls, unclear if these were remnants from another time, or images made for the event itself. Pictures revealed themselves in the small scope of a flashlight beam, while visitors collaborated in hopes of stiching the story together.
