commisioned for the University Gallery, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, New Bedford, MA, 2006. “Imagine you have woke to find your boat anchored in a strange harbor...where are you? (Alexandria? Marseilles? Hong Kong? New Bedford?) And what century is it anyhow?” In Port of Entry visitors enter an imaginary harbor where silhouettes of ships from ancient history to the present hang, suspended in a theatre where the viewers become participants as their own shadows are cast on the wall.
